If you or your company intends to import or export, the first step is to perform the enablement on SISCOMEX Radar. Siscomex is a computerized system that integrates all activities related to importing or exporting: registration, monitoring and control of foreign trade operations. And all this is done through an automated flow of information.

What is RADAR?

Radar is the acronym for Registration and Tracing Environment of the Acting of Customs Agents. Created in 2002, the system aims to provide, in real time, information of a customs, fiscal and accounting nature. It is an important tool in the fight against fraud.

Radar Enablement

The company’s link in the Radar system is performed by the Federal Revenue Service, through the CNPJ or CPF. With the registration made, it is also necessary to make the registration of the CPF of the person in charge or legal representative in Siscomex. The legal representative is usually a customs broker, who will take care of the whole process of import or export on behalf of your company.

For the registration in the Siscomex system, the modalities of habilitation are for individuals or legal entities. For legal entities, there are three submodalities according to the type of company and the value to be imported / exported. Are they:

 

Express Habilitation:

legal entity intending to carry out export operations, without limit of values, and import, whose sum of values ​​in each consecutive period of six (6) months is less than or equal to US $ 50,000.00 (fifty thousand United States dollars United States of America), or equivalent in another currency;

 

Limited Habilitation:

The legal entity authorized in the limited submodality may carry out import operations with exchange coverage, in each consecutive period of six (6) months, up to the limit of US $ 150,000.00 (one hundred and fifty thousand United States dollars), or the equivalent in another currency;

 

Unlimited Habilitation:

The legal entity authorized in unlimited submodality may carry out import transactions with foreign exchange coverage, in each consecutive period of six months, above the limit of one hundred and fifty thousand United States dollars (US $ 150,000.00), or the equivalent in another currency , if their estimated financial capacity exceeds this amount.

The limits for operations are calculated by the RFB based on the sum of the payments made by the applicant in the last five years prior to the application protocol obtained from RFB’s databases, of the following taxes and contributions: IRPJ, CSLL, PIS and COFINS, and Social Security Contribution related to the employees employed by the applicant.

The qualification in Siscomex is valid for 18 months. The term established will have the initial term as the date of approval of the authorization or the date of the last foreign trade operation carried out in Siscomex. That is, each export operation or import carried out renews the validity of the authorization for another eighteen months.
